CSX “Dark Future” #4594 SD80MAC from KATO. 176-5511. ·Shipping starts 7-10-10. ***Originally purchased by Conrail, the EMD SD80MAC locomotive was passed on to the CSX and Norfolk Southern Railroads who split its locomotive pool in 1998. These units represent the most recent and modern versions of these particular locomotives, wearing the newest “Horsehead” and “Dark Future” paint schemes of the Norfolk Southern and CSX railroads, respectively. Notably, the Norfolk Southern version has a white “Unibrow” design around the number boards instead of the full “White face”, which marks this as the most current version of this specific NS paint scheme..
